Oh Man! Thank you EVERYONE for your wonderful work throughout the auditions. There's a reason why it's going to break my heart to leave you. You are ALL HEART!!! Between you and me, that's the thing that directors look for during auditions -- HEART! More than talent, it's about HEART! I'd like to think that when you audition elsewhere, after your experience with us, that those directors appreciate and spot you as a WVC actor BECAUSE of that heart. :)
If you didn't get cast this time, DON'T stop auditioning for us! So much of casting is about type, height, and schedules. And all that is OUT of your control. You can just be you in your circumstances, right?
This blog idea was the brain child of Julie Pike and Shane Truskolaski. Be sure to give them a hearty handshake when you see them next. This is going to be fun!!!!

I have to chime in with my two cents. I agree with Ginger, it is awesome to see so many new and RETURNING actors at our auditions. The more you audition, the more you will realize that it is not about ability as much as it is about type. As a 6'6'' actor, I had to learn that very quickly. Because of my size, I was only going to be considered for certain roles and sometimes those roles didn't exist in the play I was auditioning for. I feel your pain! But if you want to be in a show, you can't give up. Sooner or later a part will come up that only YOU can play. It will happen. Believe me.
